These are some of the most important debates in our nations's history. Your tax bill, our nation's energy supply, America's economic and national security--all of these pressing topics could be affected for better or worse in the coming months in Congress.

And as we take up these key topics in the U.S. Senate, my fellow Republicans and I must fight the partisan Democrat Senate majority and their Liberal special interests who are determined to block President Bush's White House Agenda.

Here's what is really alarming: The Democrat majority gives power to a dangerous coalition of ultra-Liberal lobbyists, including Big Labor, which is looking to spend $35 million to elect their loyalists to Congress and impose the union bosses' anti-taypayer agenda on you.

To fight the Liberal Democrats' petty partisanship and take back control of the Senate this year, President Bush is depending on my leadership committee, the New Republican Majority Fund, to rally public support behind our Bush/Republican Agenda.

President Bush is counting on us to mobilize a grassroots public campaign to encourage mainstream Congressional Democrats to support our Republican policies.

And President Bush trusts our New Republican Majority Fund to take a leading role in electing Republicans in this year's Congressional elections, so we can take back the Senate and secure Republican majorities he needs as he works to do the job the American people elected him to do.

TAX REFORM:

President Bush and I agree--with our economy in need of a boost, the time is now to put more money back in the pockets of working families and business owners. To spark our economy, we must allow Americans like you to spend, save, invest, and donate your money as you see fit.

A RESPONSIBLE ENERGY POLICY:

Right now, America is far too dependent on foreign oil, especial- ly now that so many oil-producing nations support the terrorist network that is targeting our nation for attack. Tapping the vast energy resources we have here at home will free our nation from reliance on foreign oil, help stabilize our economy, and provide jobs for Americans. It's the right thing to do.

AMERICA'S COURTS:

With our nation's rule of law more important than ever, Liberal activism has no place on the highest court in the land. Presi- dent Bush is eager to strengthen our judicial system by appoint- ing judges who will respect your rights and protect our Consti- tution. And I'm ready to help win support for his nominees.

MISSILE DEFENSE:

Experts report some 20 Third World countries--incuding regimes that harbor anti-America terrorists--have or may be developing weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile delivery sys- tems. To protect America from this terrifying threat, we must develop and deploy an ironclad Missile Defense system.

These are just a few of the policies targeted for defeat by ultra-Liberal pressure groups and their loyalists in Congress.

And now, the Democrats' majority control of the Senate creates an alarming obstacle to our Bush/Republican Agenda. Even with a Republican president in the White House--even with some mainstream Democrats supporting the President and our pro-taxpayer agenda--extremist Democrats can use Senate filibusters to kill off Republican bills and stop President Bush at every turn as he fights to strengthen our economy and protect our nation.

DON'T FORGET: The Liberal's special interest machine will not be satisfied just blocking the Bush/Republican proposals you support. They're determined to force through their most expensive and destructive Liberal schemes, including:

HIGHER TAXES:

At a time when our economy needs an extra boost, Liberals want to burden our nation with higher taxes. They're determined to repeal President Bush's historic tax cuts and take away even more money from families and business owners.

NO ENERGY INDEPENDENCE:

Liberal Democrats in the Senate are determined to obstruct Presi- dent Bush's plan to free our nation from reliance on foreign oil. Because the Far Left special interests oppose any and all plans to get more of our energy here at home, the Liberal Democrats won't even allow a full Senate vote on this key topic.

OUT-OF-CONTROL GOVERNMENT SPENDING:

As we wage war against terror, fiscal discipline is more impor- tant than ever. But the Liberal Democrat partisans are plotting to spend even more of your tax dollars on wasteful programs that do nothing to stimulate our economy or strengthen America's na- tional security.

NO MISSILE DEFENSE SHIELD:

Partisan Liberal Democrats refuse to protect our nation from in- coming terrorist missiles. They've blocked every effort to es- tablish a rock-solid missile defense shield that would give you the peace of mind you deserve.

My New Republican Majority Fund is leading the battle to beat back these dangerous policies and to take back the Senate majority so we can shut down the Leftwing's power grab.

I've divided our strategy in two distinct parts--Shortterm and Longterm.

SHORTTERM STRATEGY:

We must reach out to Democrats who support key components of
President Bush's White House Agenda.

Now I know many Democrats will always oppose every one of our
Republican policies.

But with America united in the war against terror, President
Bush and I believe other, more moderate Democrats will do the
right thing and vote FOR some of our Republican proposals,
especially if our New Republican Majority Fund can prove
widespread support for President Bush's White House
Agenda.

LONGTERM STRATEGY:

We must elect more pro-taxpayer Republicans to Congress to secure solid majorities in both the House and Senate.


Many people will say now is not the time to think about
political campaigns and upcoming elections.

The Liberal special interests don't agree. Take Big Labor,
for example. The labor-union boses are plotting a $35 million
crusade to defeat principled Conservative Republicans across
America and give anti-taxpayer labor lobbyists total control
of Congress.

MAKE NO MISTAKE: It is our duty as patriotic Americans to keep our constitutional democracy thriving. And it is our most urgent responsibility as taxpayers to give President Bush more Congressional support for his White House Agenda, especially with the terrifying challenges we face this year.

First, we must take back the U.S. Senate. That means defending 19 Republican incumbent seats and gaining at least one more seat by winning an open seat or defeating a Democrat incumbent. We must also defend and strengthen our U.S. House majority--in a year when pollsters and media pundits are already predicting Republican losses in the midterm elections.

All this in the face of extreme Liberal interest groups determined to maintain their lock on the Senate and the enormous power that gives them.

We must protect your pocketbook, America's energy supply, our Supreme Court, and our national security from such an alarming threat.
